Join Alice Derry (Peninsula), Ed Harkness (Shoreline), Holly Hughes
(Edmonds), and Bethany Reid (Everett) and on a voyage of discovery through
our creative writing programs. Our goal will be to share what's working,
learn from each other's programs and explore how we can better serve our
students and reach more deeply into our communities. In the course of this
dialogue, we will also discuss our college's literary magazines and
author reading programs, such as the Foothills Reading Series at Peninsula
and the Northlight Series at Everett. We will leave time for faculty from
other colleges to contribute information, as well. We look forward to a
lively dialogue and valuable sharing of programs and practices! Faculty
who teach creative writing at other community colleges are especially
encouraged to attend and bring information on their respective creative
writing programs to share.
