Let the full moon rise
above the side door
to the technical building
slide free of roof vents
wires satellite dishes
pinpointing the tiny view
from my portable window.
Let the full moon stun
leave me hovering
above unanswered emails
uncorrected notebooks
the smallness that overfills me.
Let the full moon conjure
a chronology of students
face cards shifting
in columns of solitaire
or tracks of predictable
remote curious light
that sways my shoulders.
Let the full moon say
the sky is dark say
go home say enough
enough for today
let it be enough.
